Here at Cibyl, we’re proud to have been commissioned by Just Like Us, the LGBT+ young people’s charity in the UK, to conduct research into the experiences and feelings of LGBT+ young people aged 11 to 18 – covering themes such as their wellbeing and mental health, the impact of coronavirus, bullying and safety at school, and attitudes towards transgender young people.

School and college staff across the UK were also surveyed on their experiences and opinions of LGBT+ inclusion at their school or college. After leading on the research design and delivery, Cibyl worked in partnership with Just Like Us to produce a report containing the findings: ‘Growing up LGBT+: the impact of school, home and coronavirus on LGBT+ young people’.

The report was launched in advance of Just Like Us’ School Diversity Week and supported by the charity’s long-standing partner J.P. Morgan.
